I am the data controller for this site and for your bookings. Add your email and phone here so people can contact you about their data.

This notice covers the website, online booking, and home visits. It sits alongside the Terms & Conditions.

What I collect

  • Name, address, phone, email

  • Booking times, access notes, and messages you send

  • Piano details and visit history (make, type, work done, notes)

  • Payment records (not full card numbers — those stay with the payment provider)

  • Technical data if you use the website (IP address, device, cookies — see below)

  • Bookings and your piano record are kept in Gazelle

I get this from you (forms, email, phone, or the Gazelle scheduler), and from the tools I use to run the diary.

Who I share it with

Only what is needed to run the job:

  • Gazelle — diary, reminders, invoices, private booking links

  • Squarespace — this website and any contact form

  • Payment provider — if you pay by card

  • Accountant / HMRC — if legally required

  • Insurer or police — only if I must

Those providers are processors. Some may store data outside the UK. They are required to protect it (for example standard contractual clauses).

Recurring reminder links are for your bookings. Do not forward them; they can show your appointment details.

How long I keep it

Client and piano records are kept while you may book again (pianos are often retuned yearly), then for up to six years after the last visit for tax and complaint records, unless the law says longer. You can ask me to delete what I no longer need.

Cookies

Squarespace may set cookies to run the site and remember a session. You can block cookies in your browser; the site may not work as well. I do not run advertising networks.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, limit how I use it, object to legitimate-interests processing, or get a copy. Marketing can be stopped at any time.

Email or write to me using the details above. I will respond within one month.

You can complain to the ICO. I would rather put it right first if you tell me.

Children

Bookings are for adults. Someone 18 or over must be present at the visit.
